TOWARDS ZERO IMPACT

Towards Zero Impact is an initiative, powered by IOT Solutions World Congres to help make the SDGs adopted by all United Nations Member States become a reality.  Our objetive is to reduce waste, save resources and boost the event’s sustainability. We are fully committed to reducing the environmental impact created by the event, in terms of mobility, energy, climate, products and services, catering, waste, water and communication.

Explore Our Green Tunnel!

Welcome to the Green Tunnel, an innovative initiative that merges technology and sustainability to create a unique and eco-friendly space at our technology event. What makes our Tunnel special?

VERTICAL GARDEN

The Tunnel houses a lush vertical garden courtesy of Verdtical. This garden is not only a visually stunning work of art but also represents an advancement in sustainable construction. Verdtical is leading the way towards greener cities by integrating vegetation into urban architecture. With an innovative gardening system and advanced monitoring technology, this garden offers environmental and aesthetic benefits without compromising the building's structure.

MONITORING TECHNOLOGY

Thanks to the integrated monitoring technology, our vertical garden is more than just decoration. Smart sensors constantly measure the garden's status, allowing precise control of watering, nutrition, and other vital aspects for plant growth. This not only ensures efficient maintenance but also creates bio-buildings with unprecedented autonomy and efficiency.

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

In partnership with Porter Metrics and Tree Nations, we have taken our commitment to sustainability a step further. Each person who passes through the Tunnel contributes to planting trees in the Virtual Garden of the IoT Solutions World Congress. For every visitor, we plant a tree, helping offset our carbon footprint and contributing to the growth of a greener future.

IN COLLABORATION WITH

What do we do to achieve the highest sustainability?

We’re planting 4,000 trees

Our commitment to sustainability is real. That’s why this year we’re collaborating again with Tree Nation and we’re planting 4,000 trees generating environmental and social impacts in 7 different world regions, including gender equality, conservation, reforestation...

Circular Economy. We reuse

All common areas will be adorned with recycled materials, including cardboard and carpeting. At the conclusion of the event, any surplus materials used in these areas will be returned to the supplier for potential repurposing, extending their lifecycle for a third time.

Fight food waster

Any food surplus is picked up by an NGO at the end of each day, and is distributed to community kitchens.

Water Fountains

Water fountains will be available throughout the event. We encourage visitors to bring their own bottles to minimize the use of disposable cups or bottles. We aim to reduce waste and promote sustainability by providing convenient access to refill stations for hydration.

What could you do?

Help us become a more sustainable event

Return your badge before leaving

Please return your badge at the designated point. Our lanyards are crafted from recyclable RPET materials, ensuring sustainability throughout their lifecycle. Once returned, they are diligently collected and recycled, contributing to our commitment to environmental stewardship.

Use recycling bins

Please sort your waste accordingly by utilizing the recycling containers conveniently located throughout the premises. Your cooperation in separating recyclables ensures proper disposal and contributes to our eco-friendly efforts.

Minimize paper usage

Reduce paper consumption by utilizing digital invoices and badges. Embracing digital alternatives not only streamlines processes but also contributes to our commitment to sustainability by conserving resources.

Sustainable mobility

We encourage environmentally friendly mobility within the city! Choose public transportation when commuting to the event, reducing carbon emissions and supporting eco-conscious travel choices.
