Biography

Stan is CEO of Real-Time Innovations (RTI). RTI is the edge autonomy leader with over 1300 designs in Energy, Medical, Automotive, Transportation, and Defense. Stan is Vice Chair of the IIC and serves on the advisory board of the IoT Solutions World Congress. Stan has a PhD in EE/CS from Stanford.

In this session, we'll explore the Monash Smart Energy City program that is deploying an IIoT smart grid management system to integrate the distributed energy resources (DERs) and actively balance their output with the energy demand of the buildings and other campus entities. With a goal to achieve 100% renewable energy generation, discover how they are using the Monash campus as a large-scale trial to demonstrate the value of smart energy infrastructure to energy market participants and the ability to move to 100% renewable energy. Learn how the system orchestrates energy production and loads to respond to grid events and market pricing, maintains power grid reliability and optimizes energy costs.
