“I believe now is the right time to turn our attention to innovation and unique solutions.”

  1. Which are the biggest challenges currently faced by the different industries?

Industries face a dynamic competitive environment – supply chain concerns, leveraging new technologies, and navigating a changing world economy are among the most pressing issues. Competing in an increasingly digital-first environment also sharpened the need for an innovation agenda. Furthermore, the confidence in financial markets is damaged, and major industrial countries are simultaneously in a recession. All in all, global uncertainty is on the rise.

  1. How can technology help industries overcome those challenges?

Although we are all facing various challenges given the markets and global uncertainty today, I strongly believe that now is the right time to challenge ourselves to do different. Uncertainty becomes an opportunity for all of us when we choose to focus on the unmet needs in the market and respond to these needs with a unique solution. And we know the saying, calm seas do not make for strong sailors.

Innovation matters. History provides us with countless examples of its importance. McKinsey’s research suggests that organizations that maintained their investment focus during the 2009 economic downturn outperformed the market average by more than 30% and delivered accelerated growth over the following 3 to 5 years.

Upping your game and offering more value to your customers during challenging times pays off. I believe now is the right time to turn our attention to innovation and unique solutions. And technology plays a central role in delivering that promise.

  1. How does the IOTSWC help the industrial ecosystem?

Speaking from experience, the IOTSWC creates space for exchanging ideas on how to address industry pain points and move the needle in the marketplace on a global scale. The forum brings together innovators across industries, fueling powerful conversations and opportunities. This is priceless.
