LOCATION: ROOM 1.4 (CC1)

TRACK: Enabling IoT

TOPIC: Enabling IoT Start Up Session

FORMAT:

PART A: Each startup makes a 8-10 min pitch to explain what IoT problem/challenge they are trying to solve and what gaps they have in their efforts. E.g. Need for low power sensor provider to help complete the solution.

PART B: Established Technology providers will present their solutions and any innovation programs that are directed towards startup companies. E.g. innovation hubs

PART C: Venture Capital companies or the Venture arm of the large companies (e.g. GE Ventures) will provide an overview of programs available for IoT startups

PART D: Overall wrap up by Workshop Moderator

DESCRIPTION:

The success of Industrial IoT depends on the collaboration of the ecosystem. In this session, IoT startups will showcase the challenges they are tackling, established IoT technology and solution providers will provide an overview of their offerings, and the Venture side of these companies will explain what they look for in IoT startups and how best to work with them.  The goal is to allow discovery of avenues for collaborations with IoT startups.

LOCATION: ROOM 5.3 (CC5)

TRACK: Manufacturing

TOPIC: From the Factory to the Field

FORMAT:

Interactive workshop with an executive panel of industry leaders / experts in a field.

DESCRIPTION:

Join this workshop to learn about the maturation of the Digital Thread and Digital Twin concepts, and how they work together to drive performance and productivity.  The Digital Threads and Twins work together to “close the loop” between Product, Service, and Application lifecycle systems (PLM, SLM, ALM) and the products and services they support in the field.  We will discuss the deployment of CAD and PLM/ALM/SLM systems through an IoT platform, connecting to smart devices deployed in factory and field, where AR/VR techniques are applied to drive value. This includes wireless updates, system and product patches deployed to distributed equipment and devices, and real-time feedback of information from equipment and devices back to the production and design for continuous improvement and modifications.
