workshop 1: deciphering ai
LOCATION: ROOM 1.1 (CC1)
Individual speakers followed by a panel of all speakers combined for discussion and Q&A
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been touted as a key enabler set to transform business in ways we have not seen since the Industrial Revolution; fundamentally reinventing how businesses run, compete and thrive. The goal of this session is to help you decipher AI: from what it is, to where it has been successfully used and made a significant impact, how to get started, and what the key concerns and challenges in deploying AI.
Edy liongosari, Chief Research Scientist (Accenture Labs)
Wael William Diab, Business and Technology Strategist (Huawei)
WORKSHOP 2: ENABLING THE IOT STARTUPS - TECHNOLOGY & BUSINESS FOUNDATIONS
LOCATION: ROOM 1.4 (CC1)
Enabling IoT Start Up Session
PART A: Each startup makes a 8-10 min pitch to explain what IoT problem/challenge they are trying to solve and what gaps they have in their efforts. E.g. Need for low power sensor provider to help complete the solution.
PART B: Established Technology providers will present their solutions and any innovation programs that are directed towards startup companies. E.g. innovation hubs
PART C: Venture Capital companies or the Venture arm of the large companies (e.g. GE Ventures) will provide an overview of programs available for IoT startups
PART D: Overall wrap up by Workshop Moderator
The success of Industrial IoT depends on the collaboration of the ecosystem. In this session, IoT startups will showcase the challenges they are tackling, established IoT technology and solution providers will provide an overview of their offerings, and the Venture side of these companies will explain what they look for in IoT startups and how best to work with them. The goal is to allow discovery of avenues for collaborations with IoT startups.

WORKSHOP 3: digital twin/closed loop plm
LOCATION: ROOM 5.3 (CC5)
From the Factory to the Field: Digital Twin/Thread and Closing the Loop from PLM to Smart Device
Join this workshop to learn about the evolution of the Digital Twin Concept through a new approach called Closed Loop PLM: Connecting in-factory CAD and PLM/ALM/SLM systems through an IoT Platform to Smart Devices deployed in the field, where AR/VR techniques are applied. This includes OTA updates, product patches from the factory to devices, and information from the devices back to the factory for production-line-ready modifications.
