Edson Bortoni is Rector of the University of Itajubá, Brazil, where he is responsible for its general management and acts as a political entrepreneur, attracting funds to the university and guaranteeing its fundamental tripod of education, research and extension. He is the coordinator of several scientific research projects, developing cutting-edge technologies for various industrial sectors.
