Biography

Simon is Head of Digital Twin and Cyberphysical Infrastructure at Innovate UK, the UK Government’s Innovation Agency. Simon’s career includes Innovation, Business Development and Engineering in many sectors. Prior to joining Innovate UK, Simon led the Connectivity Practice at Capgemini and spent 10 years in Automotive Electronics. He is a regular speaker on the London tech scene with a passion for IoT, Digital Twins and Data.

The UK Government will set out their vision and next steps to enabling a Cyber-Physical Infrastructure - the collective capability that increasingly interconnected cyber-physical systems including Digital Twins, IoT, AR/VR, and Robotics & Autonomous Systems, powered by AI, HPC and advance networks will realise. Their work builds upon the findings of a government consultation during 2022 and will highlight UK Government's priority areas for public and private collaboration and co-creation in realising the innovation and resilience benefits of these increasingly federated systems.
