Robots are gradually being introduced to perform these activities, but these specialized robots can be expensive for small and mid-sized companies. In this panel, we discuss and demonstrate an affordable vision-based cobot that was introduced at a customer site to improve productivity and reduce costs. Cobots form an integral part of a smart factory in the context of Industrie 4.0.
