Biography

Dr David McKee is the CEO, CTO and founder of Slingshot Simulations, a Royal Academy of Engineering enterprise fellow, and chair of the technology and open-source working groups at the OMG Digital Twin Consortium. David has been building digital twins across automotive, aerospace, and cities since 2013. He is a guest lecturer at the Leeds and Oxford universities. Electric Places Community Interest Company collaborated with Slingshot Simulations Ltd to develop a geospatial digital twin to help them solve a significant challenge in relation to meeting Net Zero targets within the region. This project helped digitally represent the region and offer a visual and co-simulation optioneering, data-based route to identify the optimal projects and locations to deliver Net Zero solutions.
