Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Digital Twins, key topics of the first ever hybrid IOTSWC

After critical and thoughtful consideration, and with the support and guidance from our Advisory Committee, we have made the decision to move the 2021 edition of IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC), organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), to October 5 to 7, 2021. With the aim of taking place in a better international context, the event will feature Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity and Digital Twins as key topics at  the Congress that will combine face-to-face and digital activity.

Leading up to the 2021 IOT Solutions World Congress event next fall, IOTSWC will also organize two Digital Summits to continue promoting and boosting the latest breakthroughs in technological and transformational developments for many industries.

Under the theme Connect with Game Changers, IOTWSC is committed to an innovative format that will combine a congress and exclusive face-to-face exhibition aimed at high-profile executives, with streaming content and virtual participation for a more global audience. The goal is to bring together the main actors involved in the digital transformation in the industrial sphere through technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), AI, Robotics and Digital Twins, among others.

Another of the outstanding changes of this sixth edition of IOTSWC will be the relocation of part of its contents to other cities around the world to increase the value proposition of the event and facilitate international participation. Thus, the startup competition, which premiered last year, will move to the city of Chicago while other initiatives are under study for a move to other possible locations.

In its new edition, the event takes a further step in the search for practical solutions for the digitization of companies through six areas: security, connectivity, business optimization, intelligence and customer experience, with which it will connect many industries’ specific needs and challenges with the companies specialized in the implementation of these technologies and solutions.

In addition, IOTSWC will be jointly held with the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress, an annual event co-organized with the Government of Catalonia, which brings together the main actors in the field of cybersecurity. The event aims to analyze current challenges in terms of digital security and find real solutions. The program will address topics such as Privacy and data protection, Quantum computing, Cloud computing, 5G, Blockchain and Threat Intelligence, among others, to accelerate the knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and deploying their full potential.

Digital Summits

With a mission to continue promoting advances in IoT innovation two Digital Summits will be held, one in December and a second one in May 2021. The first meeting will take place on December 2-3 and will focus on Digital Twins, AI, Cybersecurity and its applicability to many sectors, including manufacturing, construction, transportation, smart buildings, healthcare and energy.
