Alicia Asín, Co-Founder of Libelium, receives the Game Changer award
Loctite, Barbara, Cafler, Topazium, MClimate, and Infrafon win the Industry Solutions Awards
The 2024 Industry Solutions Awards organized by IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC) to recognize the most outstanding developments in the field of industry transformation went to Loctite, Barbara, MClimate, Topazium, Cafler, and Infraron. The Game Changer award went to Alicia Alsin, Co-Founder of Libelium, and renowned expert on IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.
The largest international event devoted to industry transformation through disruptive technologies held until tomorrow in Barcelona announced the winners of its annual awards during a Gala held this afternoon at the Gran Via venue.
In the Smart Manufacturing Industry 4.0 category, the award went to Loctite for its Loctite Pulse smart solution that radically improves the reliability of a plant’s Maintenance, Repair and Operation through a combination of sensors and an app constantly monitoring critical equipment. Madrid-based Barbara won the award for best Energy & Utilities solution for its application of adaptive AI in edge nodes at ACCIONA’s 89 desalination plants worldwide to ensure quality and save costs in chemical supplies.
The best Connected Transport & Smart Vehicles solution award went to Cafler for its all-in platform for anything that a vehicle user requires, from insurance, parking, maintenance or refueling. In the Healthcare category, Topazium won with its SkinGuard solution, a mobile phone application for early detection of malignant skin lesions.
The two final awards, Best Smart Buildings & Smart Cities solution and Best Cybersecurity solution went to MClimate and Infrafon, respectively. Bulgarian MClimate, has developed the first LoRaWAN Smart Radiator Thermostat capable of improving energy efficiency, reduce CO2 footprint and cut cost in all kinds of buildings. Finally, Infrafon won the best Cybersecurity solution award with its Smart Badge, and e-paper smart badge offering MultiFactor Authentication by biometric fingerprint reader and PIN entry providing high levels of security.
Game changer of 2024
The last award, Game Changer, aims to honor an industry pioneer who has been a role model and a key for the promotion and implementation of technology solutions in vertical industries. In 2024 the award was for Alicia Asín, renowned expert in Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Big Data, who is also Co-Founder and CEO of Libelium, a company focused on smart IoT solutions in three main vertical markets: Sustainability, Smart Cities & Infrastructure and Agrifood.
In 2024, IOTSWC is gathering over 300 companies and 250 speakers to showcase and discuss the latest technological solutions providing an edge to companies across many industries.
