AI-20 – Vision-based cobots as a key enabler for smart factory automation
Machine tending is very common in manufacturing plants. Robots are gradually being introduced to perform these activities, but these specialized robots can be expensive for small and mid-sized companies. In this panel, we discuss and demonstrate an affordable vision-based cobot that was introduced at a customer site to improve productivity and reduce costs. Cobots form an integral part of a smart factory in the context of Industrie 4.0.
