With climate changes, grass is becoming a rare resource for farmers, even more in summer to feed their herds. In order to avoid importing a lot of hay from abroad, by trucks, increasing our carbon footprint at high cost, transhumance is the best solution. But young farmers are reluctant to move to mountains due to lack of telecom services & the increasing attacks from Bears & wolves. The new developped satellite connected collars are helping the shepherds to locate their herds & anticipate predators attacks, even remotely & help them to locate the best pastures using Satellite radar images.
