Digital Twins and IoT: Integrating the Physical and Virtual Worlds

IOT Solutions World Congress Digital Twin Manufacturing / Smart Factories / Supply Chain Smart Cities / Smart Buildings

Tuesday 31, 12:15h - 12:45h | Auditorium
31-01-2023 12:15 31-01-2023 12:45 Europe/Madrid Digital Twins and IoT: Integrating the Physical and Virtual Worlds

The value of Digital Twins can only be realized if Digital Twins and their virtual environment contain the same data and resulting information as their corresponding Physical Twins and real world environment. This means that the need for more extensive, faster, and richer sensing of the physical world will dramatically increase as valuable use cases proliferate. In addition, we will evolve from working in either the physical or virtual environments to integrating and working simultaneously in both environments. Dr. Grieves will discuss his views of the opportunities and issues of this evolution.
